Shortys Pizzeria in Parkersburg

I have had every pizza place in this local area, as well as pizza in several other countries. This pizza is hands down the new King in the city with pizza place finally moving to a strong second. The thin crust is on par with that of a true New York style pie, the toppings offer big city taste in a small town. Fresh home made chips and desserts round it out nicely.The kicker is that the next day, put the pizza in the oven and it taste just like you picked it up fresh. The owner is a cool dude with excellent customer service.

Wow, spent 2+ hours here and never really got served properly. We called ahead on the previous day to let them know that we would have a party of 8-10 so they would not be surprised. That was a real waste of a phone call as it was like a deer in the headlights when we showed up. The staff had been informed we were coming but they were TOTALLY unprepared for it. We ordered and it took nearly an hour to get the appetizers. They arrived cold and not that great. If we were not with friends and family I would have been out at that point. The first pizzas got to the table 30-40 minutes later. Of course not everyone was served at the same time. Some in the party waited another 20+ minutes just to get some of these orders. Fortunately I don't live there so I don't have to worry about being asked by someone to go there ever again. They need some serious management assistance!

Great food! Chips r perfectly cooked, pizza tastes delicious with meats from around the world, authentic Italian fare!!

Pretty good pizza although the amount of grease these things come caked with isn't my style, I just dabbed it off with a napkin. Other than that it was pretty good.

Great pizza, fresh ingredients. The Taco pizza is a flavor explosion in the mouth.

Great wood oven pizza. Be cautioned that it is carry out or delivery only. Check out some of there more interesting pies. They use really good ingredients and seem to take alot of care in designing their flavor profiles.

Fantastic pizza, with excellent price, well worth it.

Coming from a town that has a few great pizza shops this surpasses them all. Husband brought it home for us to eat tonight. we live 2 hrs away we popped it in the oven to reheat it and it amazed me. Nothing in our current town of Columbus can come close to this.

Monzo Primo Pizza is the best. I don't get to come here often but when I do it's always a real treat. just about everything is made fresh in house and the staff is always super polite love this place

Best pizza I've ever had hands down. They import everything and it's real which is hard to come by now a days. They might not have indoor seating but still the best place for a pizza

Very overpriced. Paid $39.50 for one 12" and one 16". I got the BBQ chicken pizza and wasn't impressed. I do like that it's wood fired pizzas. However, I'm not sure it was worth almost $40 for two pizzas when I could've picked up at a competitor for less than half the price.

Costs a bit more than other pizza places. But it's so worth every bite. You have to try your pizza with their bacon. Meatball subs are the best.

I get the basil roasted garlic pizza every time. And I love it. Best pizza in town.If you've never been: there is no indoor seating. Takeout or outdoor seating only. I hope they open a bigger restaurant one day.

I have been living in Parkersburg for 2 years now and have found my Favorite Pizza. Shorty's Pizza is awesome. Very flavorful. They roast there peppers. Lots of love put into their pizza and it shows. Delicious😀

This place puts out consistently good food. They sure know how to do it. I wish they were in a sit down location, but that's my only complaint. They've got the best pizza in Parkersburg. It's clear that they only work with fresh ingredients. Check out those sandwich buns when they come out of the oven! Holy smokes! You get what you pay for here. Sure, it's pricier than Papa John's $10 pies but the quality and taste is without match.

The food was served hot but it is way over priced. They have two sizes of pizza, I got the smaller of the two, a order of breadsticks and two soft drinks with the total being $32. You can get more food for your money at other places and can sit inside. The only sitting options here is outside.

Feeling sad today because I tried a different Pizza Place, prices were higher and food was very underwhelming. I will definitely stick with Shorty's next time. I have yet to find a reasonable competition. I've even made the 2 and a half hour drive from home just to bring the family to eat shorty's pizza.

Everything I have had here is amazing! I love the Shorty's Chips and have yet to find a pizza I don't like. The homemade blue cheese dressing is great with the chips! There is also rarely a wait for pickup. One time my pizza was cooked a tad too long (it was not burnt so I really didn't mind at all) for the owner's standards and the owner already had a second one waiting for me at my pick up time. He said "I will only serve to others what I would like served to me" which really spoke volumes to me about how he runs his business and treats his customers. What a quality local spot!

very mediocre quality pizza. 2 for $20 had 15 little slices of pepperoni on one of the pizzas. Pizza was very greasy. The store had a weird smell when I walked in. I wont be back. They'll be out of business before end of 2019.

Absolutely love Shortys! The Manzo is delicious and even the standard Pepperoni and Cheese is great. For a special treat ask them to make the crust a little more done!

Went here to give them a try for a different slice of the pie...got 2 for 20 (thought the sign said 2 for 10) and they did a good job of toppings and cheese...sadly, for having 3 hungry boys in the home, the pizza went faster than expected. Will give them another shot and maybe a date night will be more enjoyable than feeding the masses. Interesting building to get into, I must say. Cheers

The best pizza EVER! I have lived here a year and have been greatly disappointed that so many pizza places can be so wrong! And then, I discovered Shorty's! It is the perfect pie; large thin triangles that you can fold like a taco, light on the sauce, cheese that strings and the occasional run if grease that drips off your elbow. Then, you must try the meatball! This monster is baked 3 different times; and, I also saw to my delight, fresh baked bread. This little pizza place is a house of wonders and I can't wait to explore their menu!

First time trying shorty's pizza(take-out) , the crust was completely burned black and mostly inedible.There's better out there. Will not be trying again.

I work on a tug boat and had engine problems, was unable to cook some food so I treated the crew to some great pizza! Thanks to the guys at Shorty's for helping some guys out on the river! Food was great and customer service was spot on! Thanks again!!!

The absolute best pizza I have ever eaten is their pepperoni pizza with roasted garlic cloves! Yummmm!!

Always a great pizza experience— my friends and I tried three of their sandwiches today. The Italian, Fried Balogna, and Meatball- all were great and sized to satisfy any hunger!! Eating outside in the unusually warn February sun was great too!

This is a hidden gem in Parkersburg. We finally gave it a try on a sunny day to eat out on the patio (no dine in) Ordered the Manzo Primo pizza. The combination of flavors is amazing and their house made Italian sausage is second to none. Perfect amount of sauce ( I hate a dry pizza) and a thin crust. I wpuld recommend calling ahead to place your order. An absolute must try.
